The sessions
Children enjoy playing independently and enthusiastically. New starters pick up skills quickly. Children play mini-matches to express their creativity, encourage co-operation and begin to experience real-world use of what they’ve learned.
Key features
Your child’s becoming a little footballer…
- They have their own Little Stars mini football kit.

- They’re playing mini-matches on mini-pitches with mini-goals and Size 2 footballs.
- They are creative in their play and experiment with new skills.
- Sessions now introduce greater challenges.
Learning outcomes
While they’re having fun, they’re learning…
- To feel part of the group and co-operate with teammates.
- To focus, concentrate and be actively involved in creative play.
- To understand teamplay games and to make own decisions.
- To develop strength and stamina and not be afraid of in-game contact.
- To be able to stop the ball, dribble confidently and score emphatically.
While in this age group, they work towards Super Star Awards for their new skills, with and without a ball.
